Corby Davidson

Corby DavidsonAlso known as “Snake,” “Cobra,” “Corny,” or “Cobby,” is from Arlington, Texas and currently co-hosts The Hardline with Mike Rhyner.

Corby’s primary responsibility on the show is not as a sports analyst, unless called upon, but to function more as the “yuk monkey,” which is the station’s term for someone whose job is to provide levity through personal stories, interviews, scripted bits, et cetera. Beginning with the October 2007 absence of co-host Greg Williams from the air, Corby increased his sports analysis to compliment Mike Rhyner.

Davidson is known for his brash nature and over-the-top comments on the air, as well as his willingness to say anything to anyone no matter their social status. Corby has gained notoriety nationally at various times when contributing to press conferences or mass interviews where he will ask unusual questions with the purpose of disrupting whatever situation he’s in. Repeated encounters with Shaquille O’Neal have led to the two becoming acquaintances, to the point where O’Neal will ignore other reporters for Corby’s sake, despite his general dislike of journalists and reporters.

Corby has co-hosted both KTCK shows The Rant with Gordon Keith and Davey Lane and The Teebox with Rick Arnett in the past for extended periods of time.

Davidson attended Texas Christian University, though claims Oklahoma University as his adopted alma mater. Like his relationship with Shaquille O’Neal, Corby is on a first name basis with the Coach, Barry Switzer.

He has a wife named Julie and a son named Isaac.
