Dave Lane
Dave Lane is better known by his nicknames, “Davey” and more commonly “Gen-X Davey.” Davey has been affiliated with The Ticket since its early years. For the duration of Gordon Keith’s “The Rant” weekend show, Davey was Gordon’s partner in crime. When “The Rant” retired, Davey continued his Saturday Ticket duty as co-host of The Orphanage with Danny Balis. The transition was seamless as the show appealed to the core Rant audience. Several years ago, Davey had a run as the Ticket Ticker guy for The Hardline as well.
Davey’s strengths are his quick wit and his passion for local music. These are on grand display on The Orphanage. That’s our opinion, but Davey describes himself this way:
Overachieving underachiever. Functioning alcoholic. Unapologetic elitist. Indie yuppie poseur. Hyperanalytical neurotic. Self deprecating narcissist. Cradle robber.
